Join us at the 7th annual Chicago Dancing Festival FREE at Pritzker Pavilion! This has become an annual tradition, so don't miss out on this FREE night of dance with at least 7 companies from all over the country (but mostly Chicago) including Giordano Dance Chicago, Joffrey Ballet, BAM--the resident company of Chicago Human Rhythm Project, and Alvin Ailey. This event usually gets over 100 people, joining thousands of others in the audience. We will be sitting on the lawn, so bring a picnic and something to sit on. Performance will be projected on a large screen the lawn, so we will be able to see everything. Here is the link:
Feel free to bring friends, family, acquaintances, random strangers--the more the merrier. Just make sure to RSVP with number of guests so I know how many people to expect. Please RSVP if you plan to attend and remove your RSVP if you sign up but can no longer attend.
Show starts at 7:30. Meet at the cow sculpture outside the Chicago Cultural Center, Washington Street side, 78 E. Washington St., at 6:00, we will depart for the pavilion at 6:15. Feel free to contact me at the email in my profile or at[masked] if you have any questions or are running late. I will turn off my phone at 7:30 when the show starts. With so many people it's much easier to meet at the Cultural Center than to find us on the lawn, so please try to arrive on time.
If you are looking for a great picnic option, check out Brown's Chicken in Millennium Station, down the stairs next to the Cultural Center, Randolph St. side. If you pick it up on your way to the meetup, it should still be hot when you get to the pavilion. http://www.brownschicken.com/ Enjoy!
Hope to see you there!
