Joe Steffen will lead a 3 hour, 4.5 mile walk through Jackson Park, the site of the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition, past the Museum of Science and Industry, through the Osaka Garden, past The Republic statue, to the 63rd St. Beach, and around Promontory Point, following this route. We will be visiting some of the sites described in the book The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair that Changed America. We will walk even if it is raining, so bring an umbrella or poncho. Please do not bring your dog.
