Haunted Chicago Tour!!

It's baaaack! Last time I did the Haunted Chicago tour nearly 175 of you showed up and we were ejected from Millennium Park for blocking the Bean!! Frank(enstein)ly, it was the scariest event ever.  This time we're going to do things a little differently and fewer of you are going to show up because of the potential horror of this walk so close to Halloween on a Saturday night!

We will gather immediately north of the Drake Hotel (haunted in its' own right) in what I call Drake Park.  This is across the street and directly north of the Drake.  Click on the map link above and you'll see the exact location.   Meet at the Gazebo in your Halloween finest. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes! We will walk just a couple of miles through some of the most haunted territory of the city as we enjoy the lights and decor of the Gold Coast, all decked out for halloween. This walk will pass through a former cemetery, will involve an actual tomb and will most likely be attended by dark spirits along for the ride. Afterwards, those of us who survive the walk will gather for drinks or a meal at a nearby haunt. Don't miss this one .... we only do this walk every couple of years after we forget the horror of the last one!

I enjoyed the fun costumes.... the skeletons on the balconies, the six or eight magnificently-decorated homes, the dark, undecorated homes, the dark alley, the walk through the haunted park in sheer darkness, the spooky statue of the girl, all lit up in the park.... and especially the visit to a cobweb-filled tomb right there in Lincoln Park! I let my imagination run wild!

Thanks again Tom. Todd and I had a fabulous time. You were a terrific guide and we were able to explore an area we new little about before the walk. Very informative and fun.

Meetups are free events and they are always what YOU make of them. As always, Tom set a great stage for the rest of us to have fun! Thanks Tom.

Is there a number to call when I get there or should I look for a big crowd of people?

Am committed to the Division street Pub Crawl in the afternoon. Not entirely sure I can make the 5:00 meet time but would love to know where you'll be a little later so we can catch up.

assuming I make the trip this weekend to visit family in NW Indiana I will be there with my brother. If not I think he will atleast attend. Sounds fun and scary...definitely a Chicago experience i've yet to have :)

This sounds fun and I'll try to make it but my costume isn't very weather friendly so if we're walking I probably won't look very festive.

Love the idea and wish I could join you! Have a family event that conflicts with the time you are meeting. Have fun!
