The last Jazz Concert at Pritzker Pavilion is this Thursday Sept 2nd. You dont want to miss it! If you havent made the previous concerts, check out the photos which we uploaded to get a sense of what you missed.
This weeks concert features the music of Ahmad Jamal. A pioneer of musical rhythm and space and a seminal pianist with strong Chicago ties, Ahmad Jamal?s impact on jazz spans a good portion of his eighty years. Jeff Lindberg?s Chicago Jazz Orchestra renews its engagement with Jamal and his trio for a big band birthday bash in the Park.
We will meet at 6:30 PM the back of the lawn at Pritzker Pavilion. Look for large group around a tarp. Bring wine and munchies to share and a chair or blanket to sit on.
We look forward to seeing you this Thursday at Pritzker Pavilion in Millenium Park for this last Jazz Concert of the season!
We are explorers of urban Chicago. We check out neighborhoods, restaurants, parks, historical sites and other notable Chicagoland locations. These are places you might not otherwise travel alone. The convenience of group activities lends itself to lots of new opportunities and friendships. We must be on to something, because people keep coming back!
