If I could only pick one...probably Justin Vineyards' Isosceles wine. It's everything I like about a bold red (quoting from the winemaker's well-written description): Full bodied with black cherry and classic black currant fruit, complex brown spice of star anise, licorice with cocoa and herbal notes of sweet tobacco and a hint of eucalyptus. The rest is classic Bordeaux cabernet sauvignon - fruit, complex spice, and mineral flavors balanced with guiding structural elements on a long, memorable finish. This is a wine that drinks well with or without food, savory or sweet. Works just as well with osso buco Milanese as it does with dark chocolate.
Looking for a sophisticated group to make friends, create & enjoy unique experiences, elevate our wine knowledge, and hopefully introduce one another to some wines we might not otherwise encounter in our separate adventures.
Culinary Institute of America (Hyde Park) grad, with fair-to-middlin' knowledge on the subject of food & beverage.
Great group! Looking forward to the next meetup.
