A night of sin...oops, make that Zin!

Join us for a private wine tasting of Zinfandel wines limited to 10 guests. We will meet at the host’s home: address to be given later. You are asked to bring one bottle of Zinfandel in the $15-$25 range. If you want to splurge and spend more I’m sure we will all enjoy it!

If you’ve never tried a Zin, Wine Access describes today’s classic zinfandels as normally being medium to full in body, with fruit-driven aromas and flavors of fresh berries, black pepper, and spices, sometimes with notes of citrus zest or chocolate. As we're sampling we will try to discern aromas and flavors. Come prepared to talk about your wine choice after we have all had a chance to sample it. I encourage you to bring a print out describing your wine to make your task easier. Many online wine shops such as Binny’s have a review available. Still having problems…email me with your wine choice and I’ll help you out!

A meet up fee of $11 will be collected to cover the costs of appetizers and the evening’s prizes. Since this event is being hosted in a private home, attendance will be limited to guests known by either the host or organizer from previous wine group events.

Even though I'm an avid reader of wine magazines, a veteran of wine club tastings and known among my friends for my improper thoughts, it still took time for me to concoct the odd idea to combine my two vices: A wonderfully deep fruity zinfandel...that would be just about perfect with my new favorite Big Mac sandwich :) I ask you WHAT COULD BE BETTER?

"Hi, could I have value meal No. 5? Yes, with the Sonoma zinfandel, unless the chef has a different suggestion. Okay, supersize please."

Sandy!! What a fantastic hostess…Do you adopt??? WOW everything was gorgeous, and the abundance of food…I mean raspberries with cream cheese If we were doing food pairing we would need cases of wine :) I learned so much about grapes and regions but I think mostly how to laugh. This was truly a night the stays near and dear in the memory department. Jason Thanx for sharing a night of wine and fun.. I know my knowledge of wine would have increased immensely if it wasn’t that I laughed so hard and am still laughing about penguins and can’t remember now what else was said! The night was so fun just enjoying the group…so glad we could all meet :)

You are OHHHH so gracious!! Somehow I got my recording sheet wet when cleaning up. What was the name of the "birthday wine"? I loved how the fruit flavors popped!
