Do this, post what your bringing in the comment section of your RSVP and it's a $2 entry donation please. (Fail to post your contributions/don't follow these rules and it's more $$$ to get in the door.) Yes, everyone needs to bring a bottle and an appetizer. There will be optional poker but most folks will just be socializing tonight. That's all you really need to know. There are more details below.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The address goes out 1-3 days before the event. Check out http://littlebroswine... & some other sites listed below for some white & sparkling wine ideas. We have posted a list of suggested white or sparkling wines and appetizers to bring to this event with more to be posted shortly, you can check out the files we have so far here http://wine.meetup.co... . We will be asking everyone to bring one bottle of $20+ retail white or sparkling wine and an appetizer that serves 20+ people to share. The list should be helpful to those who are wine/food selection challenged. For now we have some resource web pages posted below to help you get started. You don't have to stick to the list but it will be a helpful guide for most for those of you who are selection challenged. There will also be a list of what not to bring'. Many of the wines on the listed will be on sale right now.* $2-7 event donation for host provided "stuff" , host paid help and clean up. We will have bottled water and soda. We will be asking you to post what you are bringing in both the wine & food categories. If you do this and bring a white/sparkling wine that appears to be $20+ retail it's a $2 entry donation please. Any other $20+ retail white/non-sparkling wine & it's $4. Just post that you are bringing any kind of wine & aappetizer and it's $4. Forget to post anything & it's $7; (so please post your contributions so everyone can feel the excitement of trying something new). Show up empty handed & you will be directed to the corner market to purchase your contributions. Everyone gets "tagged" so yes we will know if you didnt follow the rules. (Someone almost always shows up empty handed and wants to get in for $7. It's a party deflater to turn them away so please post something so we know you know what to do; thanks!)

The game will be the usual no rake, no-limit hold'em cash game with unlimited $60-$100 buy-ins for the first table and maybe $40-$60 buy-ins for the second table.*** Blinds will be $1-$2 & $.50-$1 respectively. I can host up to 2-3 tables for the larger potluck parties. If the blinds are important to you put your preference in your sign-up posting. We have new custom poker tables made by Curtis Roll, (real works of art), high quality Modiano Italian playing cards, plenty of chairs and nice chips. Arrive anytime after 7:00 PM. Cards in the air as soon as 5 folks sit down at a table &;/or roughly 7:30ish No smoking anywhere near the house. It's semi legal to smoke on the sidewalk in front of the house. inside! * Hint, if you spent less than $15 for the wine, (even if it is on sale), it's a no-no and you will be directed to the store around the corner to buy a replacement contribution. Please make sure your appetizer contribution can really serve 20+ or, yes you guessed it, you will be ordering a replacement contribution at the corner deli. It's only fair to those who are following the guidelines to make this a fun, tasty event. Remember post your contribution, follow the guidelines and save $5 off the $7 entry donation. We do this to assist in planning and to help ensure that folks know what they are supposed to bring to make this a fun filled tasty adventure for all. *** You can re-buy when you get down to 50% or less of the top $ buy-in for your table. If you bust-out/go to zero/$0 you can buy-in for 150% of the top buy-in for your table Here is a list of places that have great ideas for Chardonnay Wine http://winelibrary.co.... http://bevmo.com... http://wine.com...

FAQ: Yes, everyone needs to bring a bottle of $20+ wine & an appetizer. Any left over wine is used at the next event. We keep going on & on about what to bring because someone almost always shows up empty handed or with a really financially challenged/(cheap) bottle of wine & or no appetizer. Read, post your contribution & its only $2 to enter.

This was a fabulous event with a great mix of people from various backgrounds who were willing to say hi, to chat and to share themselves. The array of food and wine was almost overwhelming.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
