Yorkville Cellars, founded in 1994, has two main vineyards, both organically certified, totaling approx 30 acres, at elevations of 1,000-1,250ft on their ranch in Yorkville Highlands Appellation in Southern Mendocino County. Typically, less than 1,000 cases are produced per wine, per vintage.
The Yorkville Highlands viticultural area lies generally along the headwaters of Dry Creek and Rancheria Creek with rocky hill soils characterized by gravel and old brittle rock. These generally thin soils found on the high benches and land troughs are in stark contrast to the generally very loamy clay soils found in the valleys and bottom lands dominating the neighboring approved viticultural areas.
Greg Graziano, third generation Mendocino County winemaker, has also been the winemaker at La Crema in the mid 1980's his wines were served at The White House and at the Moscow Summit.
Over a ten year period Greg has won 446 medals in major international wine competitions.
Greg will be presenting 1 Sauvignon Blanc, 1 Cabernet Sauvignon and 3 Red Blends.
Cheese and crackers will be provided.
