Wednesday Wine Meeting

This is for individuals who want to taste a small number of wines with a common connection at a reasonable price. The cost per week is $20 or $60 for all four Wednesdays (first 4 Wednesday of the month) when booked and paid for in advance. 

Tasting runs from 7-9pm and cheese and crackers are provided. Tasting notes for the weeks wine will be available and the group’s scores and comments will be blogged of the Westchester Wine Enthusiasts and Bar’Lees website.

No need to RSVP, just turn up and meet with fellow wine lovers. To qualify for the monthly member discount, please phone Colin on [masked].

June 18 – USA and Australia 10 years on, a 2004 tasting. Compare two Chardonnays Margaret River & Russian River Valley, two Pinot Noirs Russian River Valley & Yarra Valley and two Cabernet Sauvignons Napa Valley and Bendigo.

June 25 – To Breathe or not to Breathe. We look at 3 varietals, two bottles of each, one decanted two hours and the other popped and poured. Taste them blind and vote which tastes best.

July 2 - Around the World with 2013 Rose. France, USA, Argentina, Australia, Germany and Spain. 

July 9 – Around the World with  Riesling. Alsace, Mosel, Finger Lakes, Clare Valley, Willamette Valley, Stellenbosch.

July 16 – Pinot Noir Californian Style. south to the North. Santa Barbara, Monterey, Santa Cruz, Carneros, Russian River Valley, Sonoma Coast.

July 23 – Zinfandel Vs Primativo. Taste test the identical twins - separated at birth. California’s best from Ridge, Turley and Williams Selyem vs a star line up from Italy.
