Korean Independence Day Celebration

Why are we celebrating Korean Independence Day? Two reasons: because we can; and we are a multi-cultural social group; we have Greeks, Germans, Japanese, Koreans, French, Brits, Canadians, Iranians, Indians, etc, etc....oh, almost forgot, and we have a Turk :) And, it just so happens that we have a recently retired Tacoma Police Captain's 35th birthday, not going to mention his name (Mark Langford). Mark, thank you for your service to our city and keeping us safe :)

We are looking at light appetizers and cake will be provided. No host bar. Given that this is Korean Independence Day, I am thinking the birthday boy needs to arrange to have Kimchi and Soju available. We also have one of our own, currently on the S. Korean island of Jeju Do, Korea's version of Hawaii. Perhaps Ms Limbo Queen (Kelly) can join us and share her experience in the "Land of the Morning Calm"

Really, you wouldn't have minded a ticket from Mark? Maybe you wouldn't mind paying mine, I'm sure the officer noted on the ticket (though camera ticket) is also very nice:) You kill me, lol. Steve D, if you finesse him the right way, he is awfully nice;)

OK OK --- In the spirit of fair play / equal opportunity, maybe we should schedule “Syttende Mai” which is the “17th of May” --- Norwegian Independence / Constitution Day. So there!!!
