Overnight Cruise to Vancouver

For inquiries and to book this cruise,  our Travel Agent Contact is, Rosemarie Balquiedra at AAA Bellevue.

Phone:[masked] / Email: [masked]

Since we had such a great time on the May 4, 2013, Vancouver to Seattle Cruise, let's do it again this Fall - this time departing from Seattle!

Documentation Required, for travel outside the USA:

· US citizens, your US Passport.
· Citizens of other countries, in addition to your passport, a visa to enter Canada, may also be required. If you are unsure, that you need a visa, post your inquiry, on this event's discussion section, or if you prefer, send me a private email. Either way, I will respond to your inquiry, and assist you, if necessary, in obtaining your visa.
· For those who need a passport or renewal, Seattle has a designated passport agency office. The fee is, $60 to expedite the process, which takes about 5 days to 3 weeks. https://www.travel/state.gov/passport/npic/agencies_901.html

To share in the fun, you may invite guests, the more the merrier!!  However, to be included in our group, have your guests contact Rosemarie, directly, to book their cruise, and provide their passport and payment details. I recommend having them join the Tacoma Wine, Dine and Happy Hour Meetup Group, so they will be included in our event's discussions and receive updates. Otherwise, you will have to pass on, any updates, to them.

If you want to go on the cruise, but don't have anyone to share a cabin with...

Here are your options:

· You will be paired with someone, in the same Meetup group, since this will be a multi-Meetup event. If you have specific cabin mate preferences, feel free to email Rosemarie the details, or we can discuss it.
· If you know someone, on the RSVP list, you would like to share a cabin with, send them a private email. ( Note: If you prefer, prior to emailing someone, you can always send me a private email, to check if someone already has a cabin mate. )

Your Itinerary:

Saturday, Sept 28, 2013

· SEATTLE, WASHINGTON ( U.S. check-in, begins at 100pm )
· Pier 91, Smith Cove Terminal
· Ship sails promptly, at 400pm

Sunday, Sept 29, 2013

· Vancouver, BC, Canada
· Canada Place Pier
· Ship arrives at the port, at 700am

Why do an overnight cruise? You get more for your money...

· If you are curious about cruising, but not quite ready to commit to the cost, and a full week of sailing, this is a great way to have a taste of it, without investing too much time and money.
· Casual and Fine Dining Meals: Buffet lunch, Semi-Formal dinner, Midnight buffet, Room service dining and Buffet breakfast. All you can eat meals... yes, you can go back to the buffet line for another plate, you can ask for an extra filet mignon, lobster, etc..., if it is on the regular dining menu, of course. Feel free to ask, if it will cost you extra, the steward will tell you. ( Note: There are specialty restaurants, onboard, that you need to make reservation for, and charge extra for dining there. Cocktails, soft drinks are extra charges, wherever they are served. )

    Hi Everyone:

I want to give you all a great big hug!!! I had an awesome time on Sat, 9/28 and Sun, 9/29! You have all made my hard work, the past few weeks, so worthwhile! From the Lido deck, to the Vista dining room, the Queen's Lounge dance floor, Northern Lights Lounge dance floor, the Lido deck, poolside, Pam, Rose and Kenan's cabin, Holiday Inn on Howe street, Nando's chicken place, River Rock Casino, the border and ending at Sea-Tac airport...

From start to finish, what a rush and an adventure!!! The best part, was spending snippets of experiences with groups of you! You are truly, a great bunch and look forward to future meetups with you!

Lastly, special thanks to Roger, for extending the overnight cruise to the twdhh group and co-hosting. If not for you, I would not have met this group of quality people.

    Big hugs to all,
    Rosemarie

******NOTE: HUDSON ROOM RESERVED FOR MEETUP GROUP*****

I reserved the Hudson Room for us, between 100pm to 500pm. Feel free to come in, to get a break, have some wine, hang out, etc...

I had planned to have us meet here, after check-in, but it would be more fun to be on the Lido Deck, so plan on seeing me and connecting with our group there.

***When I am away, confirming our dining time, look for Roger and the Meetup Sign.***

NOTE: Every room or lounge the group moves to, I will have a Meetup Sign, so it will be easy for you to spot us.

    Hi Everyone:

Ok, here's a list of folks, meeting at 1100am, at the Sea-Tac, Light Rail Station. ***If you are running late, call someone on the list, below. We will wait, until everyone is present.***

    Taking the 11am

    September 27, 2013

  • rosemarie

In response to Pam's message, below:

I'm glad you had questions, you don't owe me a thing, or... make sure you have a good time, and I'm confident you will, with all the good company of folks going. It does not take long, to board the ship, once you pass security and cruise check-in, 15-20 mintues, or less. Delays are due to the long lines of passengers, waiting to clear security, check-in, etc...

If we board early, and our cabins are ready, yes, we can drop off our luggage in our cabins, then head straight for the Lido deck, with the outdoor pool, jacuzzi and outdoor bar. Or, we can have lunch at the casual and informal, Lido restaurant. It is located on the same deck, just indoors.

    September 27, 2013

  • rosemarie

    ( Cont'd )

Later, I will be posting a general agenda for the day, waiting for the ship to send me their activities program, for our sail date. This is your cruise, so yes, you are free to do your own thing. I will have a schedule / agenda, too, so you can join up with the group, anytime.

I'm excited to spend some time, with all of you, even if just for a bit. I've enjoyed the little bit of chit chat, during the booking process.

Regarding your return transfer, no problem, I can take care of it. I will call you, when I am in the office.

    September 27, 2013

  • Steve D.

Bob, hows about you pick us up at my crib, and then we can all head up to SEATAC together. What say you Sport Fan? Is there a bar on the Sounder?

  • rosemarie

    *******************************************************
Note to those, returning to Sea-Tac via Quick Shuttle, on Sun, 9/29.
    *******************************************************

Here are our options, on the Light Rail:

Depart Sea-Tac Bay Station at 1000am, Arrive Westlake at 1100am

    or,

Depart Sea-Tac Bay Station at 1100am, Arrive Westlake at 1200pm

At Westlake: If you missed breakfast and need to grab a coffee or snack, this is the stop where we can take a break. While we wait to board at Pier 91, there are no snack stand areas, to grab a bite, thus my advice, above.

We will catch a cab from Westlake, to Pier 91. There should be 10 or 11 of us. Depending on the cab capacity, we could take 3 or 4 cabs. From Westlake, the cab ride will take about 15-20 minutes.

    Hi Folks:

Fyi... There was an inquiry last Saturday, 9/14, at Bahama Breeze, about wine bottles, you can bring with you, onboard. I told a couple of you, the limit is, a case per person, per an inquiry I made last May. I checked again, there is no limit, but starting Jan 2014, it will be 1 bottle per person. Note: However many bottles you bring, they will have to be in your hand carry.
