Tour of Hastings’ Alexis Baileys Vineyards

Our April winery tour takes us to Hastings’s Alexis Bailey Vineyards, which is the second oldest and some say has the best local wine in MN.

This year again we are visiting on their first Month they are open for the season.

A tasting is $5 for about ten wines

Like most winery tours we all should bring food to share with the wine.

Alexis Bailey Winery’s website is located at

Hope to see you there,

Dennis & Ellen

For those who were asking, here is the recipe for the Buffalo chicken dip:
    2 8oz packages Cream Cheese
    1 Cup ranch dressing
    2 Cups Shredded cheddar cheese
    3/4 C Frank's Red Hot
    2-3 Cups shredded chicken.

Pull chicken and place in bowl with the Frank's Red Hot.
Mix cream cheese and ranch dressing together until mostly smooth, then add in the cheddar cheese, then chicken mixture. Bake in 9x13 cake pan at 350 for 30 minutes.
Keep warm to serve. We served with Celery stick, tortilla chips and pita chips. It goes well with regular crackers as well.

Just got a call about an apartment (hopefully will get it!) that I have to go see at noon, so I'll be late (2:30?) but definitely still want to make out of wine and ready for a spring outing!

If you need ideas on what food to bring, they have pairings listed on the details pages for many of their wines:

Just make sure you bring great finger food for all to share and buy some wine for us all to share... under $20 total investment for a great day of wine, food & friends! Oh and if you are bringing a friend or signif other Saturday and we don't know their name & occupation email them to us, I have name tags to work on. Bye from the Conch Republic.. it's 95 today!
