Cru Night By the Glass at Spuntino

The feedback on Spuntino was very good. I was contacted by the restaurant to let you know about a special event they are having this week.

In case you have been living in a hole for the past five years I wanted you to know about the tremendous grown of Prosecco. Estimates a few years back said that by 2020 Prosecco would be the #1 imported sparkling wine into the USA. I was skeptical but at the rate it is growing it looks like that prediction will come true.

We have been invited to Cru Night by the glass at Spuntino.

Cru-Night By the Glass - December 12, 2012

For one night only celebrate the Italian way with Zardetto Prosecco Brut Treviso. Join us during dinner on Wednesday, as we open some rare 3-liter bottles for some BIG fun.

I am not setting an official meetup start time event. What I suggest is if you want to go choose your own time to meet. Put your own group together.

You can post on the discussion board if you are looking for people to join you.

Zardetto [Zahr-det-toh]
Zardetto has been a leader in sparkling wine for more than 40 years.

Produced from carefully selected grapes grown on the finest hilltop vineyards, after which Zardetto’s state-of-the-art winery blends modern techniques and traditional practices that result in an acclaimed brut.

As one of the first companies to introduce and distribute Prosecco outside Italy, Zardetto has become the symbol of quality at celebrations worldwide.

Description Made from 100% Glera (formerly known as Prosecco) sourced from select vineyards around the hills of Conegliano. The first fermentation takes place after a brief maceration, which enhances the typical citrus and tropical aromas of the Glera grapes. These intense, fruity aromas are preserved through the second fermentation, which takes place in large temperature-controlled stainless steel containers.

Tasting Notes Straw-lemon with a fine perlage, Zardetto Prosecco offers fresh, fragrant aromas of peach, citrus and tropical fruits. Delicately soft and harmonious on the palate, Zardetto Prosecco is extremely versatile: it can be enjoyed anytime, from important celebrations to last-minutes parties.

Like Zardetto very much. Love Prosecco! Agree it is a great go-to for last minute celebrations. Great any time of year, but especially at holidays.
