This very exclusive event will be hosted at the Embassy of Georgia and feature some of the best wines of the country. H.E. Ambassador Batu Kutelia will join us for the tasting and The Georgian Wine House of Greater Washington will provide wines for this exciting reception.
With a rich history in winemaking, some say it?s the birthplace, Georgia has some very interesting and well made wines to offer. With native varietals including saperavi, mtsvane, and rkatsiteli, Georgia is creating wines of good value and quality.
Taste some of Georgia?s most well known wineries at this special event including:
? Teliani Valley- various wines from variety of grapes (red and white)
? Vinotera- Saperavi, fermented and aged in ancient type Amphora, or Qvevri in Georgian
? Pheasant's Tears- artisan white Rkatsiteli and Red Saperavi, fermented and aged in ancient type Amphora, or Qvevri in Georgian
? Bagrationi- sparkling from Georgian grapes
This small and intimate event is free and reserved to GiraMondo Wine Adventures' Club members who are in good standing with their dues (see membership rule). However, we have 3 spots available to members of the Embassy Wine Events Meetup. The first three people to email me the correct answers to the following questions will receive one of these spots.
