We have renamed our meetup to reflect a modest redirection of emphasis under the aegis of the Bay Area Wine Society. We want to form a cooperative for the purchase of small production mostly sustainable/organic/natural wines.  Our events will consist mostly of selecting wines for the coop and offering various benefits to members.  We will continue to organize programs that enhance a broader appreciation of the Wondrous and Wacky World of Wine in different settings.

Most people are content socializing in wine bars, and at least three other Bay Area meetups do only this very successfully once a month. But for those who want more than chatter over a glass of wine, we offer informal educational programs in a range of pleasant settings as you can see from perusing our past events.  We will also offer major discounts on the wines we showcase.

Occasionally we will invite vintners to offer their insights about their own experience in the wine industry while pouring their wines. And we invite wine drinkers to share in these discussions, treks, and tastings.  Come join in the exploration.
