Max Mc Calman comes to the East End Market!!

Join La Femme Du Fromage as we celebrate the grand opening of our new specialty cheese store with special guest Max McCalman to co-host the first event. The evening event will be a cheese and wine paring class on Friday November 8th, 6:30-8:30pm. Complementary sparkling wine will be offered for the meet and greet reception. Class will begin at 7:00 sharp. There will be a book signing afterwards as well as lots of wine and cheese for sale.

Max McCalman is a legend in the world of artisan cheese, being America's first restaurant-based Maître Fromager among other accolades. His work takes him across North America and Europe exploring dairies and farms that contribute to artisanal cheese production, as well as production consultation and serving as a judge in competitions worldwide. He has also been conferred the title of Garde et Jure as designated by France's Guilde des Fromagers.

It is an honor to have Max coming to Orlando specifically for this special event. Come out and support your local cheese shop in our new space at East End Market!

Max's tickets at Epcot during the food and wine fest are $125 (plus park admission) and if you go to NYC and take a class at Artisanal Cheese Company, tickets are $75 (plus airfare) so this class is truly a bargain!

Ticket prices on the day of (if not sold out) will increase to $50.00 so get your spot reserved early. It is going to be amazing! 

We will start with a meet and greet reception at 6:30. Enjoy a glass of bubbly, while you can all check out the market and then head upstairs for the class to start promptly at 7:00. We will taste 5 cheeses paired with 5 wines. 

The pairings will be

Robiola Bosina from Piemonte paired with Antoine Muller Sparkling Rose 

Meredith Dairy Marinated Feta from Australia paired with Grande Roche Sancerre

Truffle Gouda from Holland with Fuso Barbera

Midnight Moon from California with Heron Cabernet Sauvignon

Extra Aged Ramsen Kaas from Switzerland with Y3 Taureau


The Ramsen Kaas, I have personally been aging for 3 years, and there is nothing quite like it. I can't wait to share this exciting time, my grand opening, and the most respected name in the cheese industry with you all on Friday!

    Tonda and the entire team did a wonderful job on this first event! I am looking forward to the next one. Max's knowledge and insight into all cheese related matters is genious and he was such a nice guy, no snobiness or pretentiousness at all.
