It's All About Wine

Let's do a May Meet and Greet at Go Fish Wine Bar (125 W Grayson St). Newer place that is owned by the same people as Upscale, Little Em’s, Restaurant Claudine, and Nineteen Hyaku.

It’s a cute spot with a seafood focused menu near the Pearl. This will be informal with an opportunity to meet and mingle. I’ll have some sticker name tags for people.

The Cove is a mix of restaurant, car wash, laundromat, bar and kid /dog friendly neighborhood eatery. Located at 606 W. Cypress street near SAC. Recently, the Cove started doing their wine tastings with food pairings and live jazz again. The fun takes place inside the main building where the bar and stage is.

Cost is $20 for the wine tasting and food pairing. Pay at the bar register first. Arrive by 6:30 - wine tasting starts at 7 PM, live jazz starts around 6:30pm. You will get 4 wine tastings plus 4 food items that pair with the wines. They also have an amazing menu you can order from at the Cove. Great burgers and fish tacos (Lisa Special is my favorite)

Please update your RSVP if you cannot attend so I can get an accurate headcount for how large a table we need as we get closer to the event. This is a monthly event so if you miss one, there will be another.

Let’s get a head start on the Memorial Weekend with another visit to the Board Couple. The Board Couple at 2218 N. Zarzamora Street is a little hidden gem in the heart of San Antonio. The couple has a catering business and make awesome charcuterie boards from their quaint wine bar/bistro near Woodlawn Lake. You can get wine by the glass or bottle, sandwiches, and of course charcuterie boards. They also have pretty awesome warm chocolate chip cookies. If you get the chance, check out their second location that opened last year in Comfort, Texas.

Looking forward to this event and a good turn-out. The Owner has promised our group wine specials if around 30 of us attend.

Winery on the Gruene is an award-winning custom boutique winery that makes over 30 different wines on the premises. You can taste 4 wines for $5 per person, or order a glass or bottle from their extensive list of choices ranging from traditional whites, reds, fruit-infused wines and dessert wines. Let’s hang out on the front patio with our wines of final choice. Hoping they will have live music to entertain that day. Great gift shop and bringing in own snacks is ok. They don’t really offer food so bring cheese and meats, etc if you desire a snack with your wine.

We will head over to the Grapevine after Winery on the Gruene for more wine tasting but they only do by the glass there. Then maybe some shopping, we will play it by ear. Gruene has much to offer. 4 PM end time is a rough estimate, it's Gruene, we may never leave lol.
