Day Sail on Caelestis

I used to organize day sails on Meetup in San Diego when I lived there. Now it's time to get it started here in Hawaii.
PLEASE READ ALL THE DETAILS VERY CLOSELY
There should be plenty of free parking available anywhere around the marina. I suggest you find the boat, drop off your things and then find a parking space. Wear tennis shoes/thongs that won't make or leave marks on the deck of the boat. Typically, with sailing events, sailors are very serious about leaving the dock on time. I'm not quite that picky but in general the best is to always be early so you don't miss the boat. I have been known to leave people behind. ;-) Being on early for these type of events boils down to courtesy. Due to the limited # of people I can take sailing....please don't be a "no-show". If you can't make it then please remove yourself from the event.
The Plan: Sail around for a couple of hours and then anchor off of Waikiki, swim, and have lunch/BBQ. It's up to you to bring what you would like to drink, eat or throw on the BBQ. I have catsup and mustard. You're more than welcome to consume alcoholic beverages but please do so responsibly for the safety of others and especially the safety of yourself.
Bring sunscreen, bathing suit, a towel, food, beverages.
I'll have a cooler with ice for the outing.
The sailing vessel Caelestis is owned and operated by Sailing to Recovery, a non-profit organization that helps support the ongoing educational, medical and dental efforts going on in the Republic of Kiribati (approx 2000 miles Southwest of Hawaii). The donations will support the care of our vessel while here in Hawaii as well as the missions in the Republic of Kiribati. We thank you for your donations (which also pay for the ice, fuel for BBQ and boat).
Let me know if you have any questions. It's been a while since I've hosted an event so I might have missed a few details...but the big ones I covered. ;-)
See you on Sunday.
I can also be reached at [masked].

So far the forecast is calling for light rain and the radar doesn't look promising. Stay posted.

I'm keeping an eye on the weather. If it looks like it won't cooperate then we will reschedule. Keep an eye on my updates.

Seems like the weather is not going to be that great for sailing. Cool, windy and raining. I will have to pass on this event for now. Sorry ;(
