Introduction

My name is Jean Ergas. I grew up and went to school in Italy, in Rome, and am completely bilingual. I am also fluent in French. German, and Spanish. I am happy to see that there is so much interest in Italian language and culture.

How did you hear about the NYC Italian Language, Food & Culture Club?

While on the meet up site.

What kinds of events would you like our group to host?

Cultural events, films and chats over coffee. Given that all levels of language knowledge are represented, you need events that can apeal to al.

What inspired you to learn Italian?

Grew up bilingual.

Do you have any expertise related to Italian language, food or culture that might be useful in planning our future events and activities?

I would be delighted to help others learn this wonderful language and become more familiar with the culture.

    You speak 4 of the 5 languages I am trying to learn, the other one is Russian which I studied in school. You're lucky!
