Introduction

Hello, My name is Luba, I live in Oakland . Newly single but not down and out :-). I enjoy good food and wine along with classical music, films and art.

Outside of California, what are your favorite wine regions and how would you rank them? Is there a favorite red or white you like to recommend? What flavors attract you most in a wine, i.e. buttery chardonnay, citrus grigio, plum pinot noir, etc.

Alzace, Burgundy, All German regions, Piedmont in Italy. I actually drink mostly California wines so don;t have favorites from overseas yet. In general, my favorite verietal is Pinot Noir. As for flavors, in whites I like citrus, tropical flavors, minerality, floral notes. In reds I like earth, tabaco, leather, eucaliptus, mint, mushrooms, dark berries, lums, sour cherries, black currant .
