Outside of California, what are your favorite wine regions and how would you rank them? Is there a favorite red or white you like to recommend? What flavors attract you most in a wine, i.e. buttery chardonnay, citrus grigio, plum pinot noir, etc.

Pinot Noir is my favorite followed by Zinfandel. I like white varietals from the Rhone region of France.
