Wines from California, France, and Italy-even Australia and New Zealand-are fairly familiar to many wine enthusiasts. But often, Spain remains a bit of a mystery. Perhaps that's partly because Spanish wines have changed dramatically over the last two decades! If you only remember fusty old Riojas (ever see those Spanish wines with wire netting over the bottle?), then you need to know things have changed.
Everyone in our group who attended the "Back By Popular Demand" Meetup with Joan-Ramon Pujol knows newer Spanish wine styles are bright, vibrant, and exciting! At this July 15th "Spain: The Undiscovered Treasure" Meetup, we're going to continue the Spanish theme, because there are a lot of great wines we haven't tasted yet. And remember that since most people don't know much about Spain, that means, in many cases, we can buy quality wines from Spain for less than a wine of similar quality from the U.S., France, or Italy.
So, what's not to like? Good wines. Great company! We'll also be sure to have a price sheet for the wines, in case you want to order some for pick-up later (or for delivery at our next Meetup).
