No, not the Ritz-Carlton! The Karlton Cafe in Quakertown.

Chef AJ Buehrer graciously welcomes Lehigh Valley Wine & Dine with a generous offer of free dessert for every diner at our first ever get-together. "Are there any restrictions on the dessert menu?" I asked him. The answer was no.

He is also closing the dining room and creating a JUST for US Private Event!

The Karlton Cafe is a Chef-owned and family operated business. The family has been in the restaurant business since the 1970s.

Some comments from The Morning Call MetroMix review* about The Karlton Cafe:

Housed in the historic Karlton Theater Building, ...offers a quaint location to relax and enjoy a small bite to eat or an elaborate entree. Attention to detail is evident... charming decor... extensive menu. ...an ornately designed ceiling ...Lighted stairs ...fully furnished lower level dining room ...attractive wood flooring ...a cozy fireplace. ...renowned paninis, fresh baked desserts ...impressive Sunday brunch ... More pricey entrees, including chipotle roast duck and potato encrusted Chilean sea bass, are available as well... $9-$15 price range.

Thank you all and welcome to what promises to be the most exciting Meetup Group in the Valley. We had a wonderful evening as well. Enjoyable people, interesting conversation, delicious food! Maybe we should make the next dinner at 6 so we can either stay later or recover sooner ;-)

I had to stick around at a local watering hole last night to water down the effects of over-imbibing. I got home at 2AM and am now hung over. In addition, I'm officially in the dog house as my wife now hates me. But who's complaining? I had a great time and I'm looking forward to another one.

WoW! Unbelievable what can happen when you dare to break away from your computer and actually meet REAL PEOPLE with common interests! We all shared great wines, great foods and lots of laughter. Great conversations and ideas for upcoming connections... Wish I'd have started this years ago! What a GREAT group of fascinating people!
