There may be something in the Stimulus Package for us!

I understand the Small Business Administration is guaranteeing up to 85% of bank financing in some programs, and waiving all fees!

Our guest speaker, Linda Krysiak, Business Development Specialist from Wisconsin District Office of the Small Business Administration will give us the details of SBA financial programs, and an overview of government procurement programs.

The SBA provides a number of financial assistance programs for small businesses including
7(a), 504 and disaster assistance loans. Learn about eligibility requirements, SBA’s loan programs, surety bonds and the role of SBA, equity capital topics, special purpose loans, SBA partner topics and 7(a) lender programs.

Here's just one of the programs Ms. Krysiak will discuss, the Patriot Express loan program for veterans:

• Loans are available up to $500,000 and qualify for SBA’s maximum guaranty of up to 85 percent for loans of $150,000 or less, and up to 75 percent for loans over $150,000 up to $500,000.

• The Patriot Express Loan can be used for most business purposes, including start-up, expansion, equipment purchases, working capital, inventory or business-occupied real-estate purchases.

• Patriot Express Loans feature SBA’s lowest interest rates for business loans, generally 2.25 percent to 4.75 percent over the prime rate depending on the size and maturity of the loan.

Registration begins at 9:45, presentation runs from 10 to 11 am.

Coffee and Danish provided.

Seminar fee $10 with reservation here in advance. $20 at the door.

Stick around for 15 minutes for a jump-start on the networking for our Wisconsin Business Owners Lunch and Learn! Registration is at http://www.meetup.com...

    •  Exceptionally interesting information about the advent of new SBA offerings. The presenter, although unfamiliar with loan collateralization, was able to speak on a wide range of products the SBA is now, or soon will be, making available. Ms. Krysiak also had a plethora of slides on working with government procurement and the process to use to accomplish contract acquisitons. She also provided a 48 page Small Business Resource guide with many relevant points of contact. I am looking forward to reading the entire guide and possibly working with her or one of the government agencies in a freelance relationship. This was a great opportunity to learn a little more about how the government operates and how small businesses can fit in with their needs.

Excellent, as usual! Linda Krysiak, Business Development Specialist from the Wisconsin District office of the Small Business Administration, was a fantastic speaker with great command o fthe subject matter and a readily apparent passion for helping Wisconsin small businesses. She provided excellent resource materials before and during a very interactive, practical presentation. The business owners there loved it!
    •  I missed the loan or grant presentation. The procurement system has several interesting possibilities. Our company is owned 95% by my wife. I own 5 % am disabled, and a veteran, not service related.
    •  Actionable information - clearly presented and accompanied by valuable insights from both the presenter and attendees. Just what I was looking for...thank you Keith (and Cheryl) for bringing Linda to our group.
    • Michael Burke (+1 guest)
