Join us for our Friday October 31st Wisconsin Business Owners Lunch and Learn. This month's topic is:
Trade Secrets, Thumbdrives, and Aspirin - protecting your company’s secret recipe
Coke has its secret formula and the Colonel has his secret recipe...what trade secrets are possessed by your business? We’ll define a trade secret to help your protect your own. We’ll also take a look at measures you can take to shield your trade secrets from the everyone (yes, everyone is a potential trade secret thief) and what you may do if you suspect your trade secret was stolen. My goal is to educate you, as a business owner, on the value of one of your intellectual property rights and give you the confidence to not only protect your trade secrets, but how that right can be enforced, if necessary.
Chris Moander, owner of the Moander Law Firm, is an independent attorney who works exclusively with Growing Businesses. Chris helps entrepreneurs and business owners handle an array of legal issues, ranging from choosing a proper business entity to sales contracts, structuring financing to litigation and collections. Having worked in companies ranging from small machine shops to veterinary offices up to accounting in a multinational corporation, Chris is eager to help Wisconsin’s Growing Enterprises no matter what obstacles they encounter.
Chris authors the Wisconsin Business Law and Litigation Blog, posts on his Twitter feed, and can be found on LinkedIn.
We encourage “networking”, but that is strictly informal. We have NO quotas on leads or referrals to be given - we simply get to know one another as resources in our own areas of expertise.
The only requirement to attend is that you are a Business Owner or an individual seeking to start their own business.
The cost for the luncheon meeting is as follows:
* $20 (credit card) with advance reservations or $30 (cash) at the event for the fish with all-you-can-eat salad bar, soft beverage and gratuity.
* $15 (credit card) with advance reservations or $20 (cash) at the event for Salad bar and soft beverage only.
Regards,
Keith
