Baratunde, the father of Forgotten Foods, is a purveyor of connoisseur herbal tonics and has a 32 year history with Traditional Chinese Herbalism and the sacred art of Divine chemistry… alchemy. At a young age, spending much of his time alone in the forest, he discovered that the plants carry a distinct language. As a result, Baratunde has a natural relationship with the plant kingdom, whereby like the late great George Washington Carver, the herbs and plants communicate with him directly.

Baratunde is also a certified Emeri Qigong practitioner. This evolution of his healing journey further cultivated his art as a natural healer. As a result, Baratunde is becoming known as the ‘doctor’s herbalist.’ He has earned the confidence of many in the medical and healing professions and has adopted the philosophy that “even the doctor needs a healer.”
