I am sorry for not replying. I would love to post the photos still. Do you still have them?

Terrific ... except for Bomber and the dead bird.

I have a photo of the bagged bird!

Great time ... well, I could have done without Bomber glomming onto the dead bird.

It was a beautiful day. Oddly, we did not have to wait for a table even.

It was great! I've never seen so many adorable Westies and Scotties in one place--all with really nice owners (parents?). The crowd watching was totally enthusiastic seeing our pups, and I know that mine, Puccini, had a great time being one of the centers of attention. This was our first parade, and now...a regular thing. See you next year!

I have to work now......:( I went last year and was hoping to go again.... There wasn't much of an after party last year, but this was sounding much better.. I guess there is always next year

Oh, so sorry you can't make it Janet. Casey Jane will be 13 this year. I am thinking of having another birthday party for her. Maybe I will see you then.

We can't make the after party, but we can't wait for the parade. Edwina can't hear a bagpipe on TV without running over to the set. It's become HER music.

Haha! We are looking forward to it also.

Re: the carriers - you have to keep it with you as there is no place to leave them during the parade.

    on another note...

A better, less arduous location than the overpriced beer stand in the park needs to be sourced for the après parade! There's never enough seating/tables, the restrooms are a quarter mile away (and always have at least a dozen people on line) and its a long walk in and out of the park after a parade march for little legs. The place is never conducive to a group of our size or comfortable in any way. What about a pre-parade happy-yappy hour in Bryant Park since it's right by the staging area, has refreshments and bathrooms and the parade always starts late anyway?

Oops. Just re-read it. Pre-parade in Bryant Park!! Cythia, if you will definitely be there, I will announce it. Let me know.

      March 23

    • Monica

No, there is no dog run in Bryant Park. Leashed dogs are allowed, but they cannot go on the grass.

Where in Bryant Park would we meet, and at what time? Has anyone checked if we can bring dogs into Bryant Park. Monica?

You can bring leashed dogs into Bryant Park, but they are not allowed on the grass. http://bryantpark.org...

I won't be able to make it to BP. I can barely make it to the parade on time, but I can announce it.

What do people who live in the city do with carriers? I'll be taking the bus or the subway uptown, and I can't take her on the bus or subway unless she's in a carrier. Do I just have to keep it with me, or is there a place to leave it?

    1 · March 13

    • Monica

You have to keep everything with you. Unfortunately, there is no place to leave stuff. We step off at 46th Street and do not return there.
