We are on the third chapter of the book. Again do not need to have the book or to have read any chapters so far. We read the chapter together and talk about it as we go.
Also, moved start time to 3:30PM
My gym, Phitness Plus, is starting a Healthy Book Club called BRITE Book Club (Books Read Intentionally To Educate). We have selected Skinny Bitch by Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin as the first book to read. We will meet every two weeks, starting with Sunday, November 4th from 3PM-4PM and will read one chapter per meeting.
This MeetUp is appropriate for significant others - less appropriate for kids, but you're welcome to bring your kids as we have a playroom available.
Don't worry if you do not have the book or you haven't read the first chapter yet. The chapters are very short and can be read at the meeting.
Each meeting we'll dig deep into the message and content of the chapter and develop some healthy takeaways.
Here is a synopsis of Skinny Bitch:
Not your typical boring diet book, this is a tart-tongued, no-holds-barred wakeup call to all women who want to be thin. With such blunt advice as, "Soda is liquid Satan" and "You are a total moron if you think the Atkins Diet will make you thin," it's a rallying cry for all savvy women to start eating healthy and looking radiant. Unlike standard diet books, it actually makes the reader laugh out loud with its truthful, smart-mouthed revelations. Behind all the attitude, however, there's solid guidance. Skinny Bitch espouses a healthful lifestyle that promotes whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, and encourages women to get excited about feeling "clean and pure and energized."
