I think we should go ahead and arrange a meeting on Saturday, December 15th 10am - 11am so that we can chat about what our expectations are as we join this group: Clear Mind for World Peace. Maybe we can take a look at why we want to assemble and what this group is about, where we are going, what purpose does this group serve?
Briefly, I became very interested in the Women For Peace movements sprouting all around this country. When I read that Dr. Jean Shinoda Bolen was petitioning the UN for a 5th World Conference on Women and how she believes we women can offer solutions to world peace at the political level, I got turned on to the idea. I believe that becoming a political activist for peace is a wonderful thing but I also wanted to introduce to you our meditation practice that helps us "become peace." Unless we know how to access that peaceful place inside of ourselves, how can we ask others for it?
I hope you will not just come once a month but take advantage of our smaller groups to come and sit and train the mind to know stillness.
We continue to hold Wednesdays from 5am-6am and 6am-7am AND Saturdays from 6am-7am AND 7am-9am. (As you know, we ask that you arrive 10 minutes before the start times so you have a chance to settle in.)
This is a free meet-up. We do have a donation jar and our suggested donation is $the best you can do from the heart.
