I am always looking for a meetup group for me and never find women over 40 who want to make new friends, travel and explore locally as well as to near and distant locales and live and enjoy life to the fullest.  I have been a housewife proudly for twenty years with children who are leaving or will be gone soon.  I dont want to exclude other women over 40 who have pursued other paths just as proudly.  I want the common bond essentially to be we used the first 40 years to successfully raise children, or gain succes in a career,  always forgetting to put the success of our wants and needs as a high priority.

I feel so strongly about feeling good about taking time for me now that I went ahead and decided to write my thoughts down and find like minded women.  Unfortuneately my technical skills are horrendous and Im sure you will found many errors in how this page looks.  I need a new tech savy friend to guide me through this.  So hurry and  come to next meetup.

I am so heartened by the initial response from all of you, except the few men who responsed to women over 40 group, that even if I find one new friend from the process it will have been worth it.  However, now that I dare to dream I believe this might be the start of something pretty special.
