Holiday Weekend in Charleston

I have planned a fun weekend on our boat in Charleston! We will car pool from my house in Greer at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 20th. We will have 7:00 dinner at the Harbour Club in Charleston this evening. The dress code for the Harbour Club is business casual. They are a private club, and only take credit cards.

Saturday we will leave the boat to have 11:30 lunch at Husk, and explore Charleston.

At 5:00 in the evening, we will be going to the 28th Annual Progressive Dinner: “A Charleston Holiday”, with carriage ride!

A much-beloved holiday tradition is back this December. For the 28th year in a row, Circa 1886 restaurant and Charming Inns will play host to the “Charleston Holiday Progressive Dinner,” a festive evening where diners journey by carriage to three different locations. Guests are invited to start the evening with hors d’oeuvres at Historic Kings Courtyard Inn at 198 King Street, travel to Circa 1886 restaurant at 149 Wentworth Street for a three-course dinner, and wind down at Historic John Rutledge House Inn at 116 Broad Street for coffee and dessert. Hors d’oeuvres start at 5:30 p.m. and the evening wraps up at 8:30 p.m. A carriage will transport guests from one location to the next. The cost excludes beverages not listed.

After dinner, we will go to James Island County Park to see the spectacular holiday lights, and then head back to the boat.

Sunday we have 11:30 Champagne brunch buffet reservations at the Harbour Club, combined with the Charleston Dining Divas Meetup group that I co-organize. After that, we can shop at the famous Market, have 6:00 dinner in Charleston at The Ordinary, and then head back to Greer.

You must be a member of Just Us Girls and attend at least one of the events from either of the Meetup groups I organize (this group or Brunch, Lunch & Supper Club) before signing up for any overnight trips on our boat, and must car pool with us from my house in Greer.

The cost of this trip is for the drivers' gas money and the progressive dinner with carriage ride on Saturday evening (other meals are not included). Packing details will be given to those who sign up. That is a picture of our boat on the Meetup. It has a living room, kitchen and dining area, three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, so you will have plenty of room. Let me know if you have any questions. I hope you can join us!

Sounds wonderful, but my family flies into town on the 20th of December. I wish I was able to make it.

There are a few other Charleston trips posted. Maybe you can make it one of those.
