The purpose of this group is to connect Women of Color in the Charlotte area. Our motto: Erasing the Stereotype ~ Strengthening Sisterhood. Women of color often face challenges both professional and personal that sometimes only other women of color can understand. This group will be a social arena in which we can discuss, vent and laugh about the many trials and tribulations we face as women of color. This group is also a networking arena for those interested in changing and or starting new careers and those with small businesses. Each month we have at least one activity ranging from: volunteerism and lunch, dinner meetings, book readings and discussion and home invasion nights. (One group member volunteers there home for drinks and pot luck meals). Other suggestions are encouraged. All colors are welcome; if you consider yourself a woman of color then Sign Up!! Women of color know who they are by virtue of their experiences. We have only one rule: Come ready to socialize, leave misconceptions about "us" at the door and NO Judging. Step out the box and form lasting relationships.
