Welcome Creative Women!

SALON (Definition): A meeting of literary or artistic people in a (celebrity's) home. (In this case, a non-celebrity)

SALON (Wikipedia): "The salons became a centre of intellectual as well as social exchange (...) Women... played an important and visible role within the salons."

Do you need ispiration? Fresh artistic ideas? Or do you just want a chance to talk to other artists or craftswomen in the community?

This group is devoted to getting creative women, amateur and professonal, together to talk about and share their interests in the arts, be it painting, drawing, music, writing, fiber arts, or crafts of any kind. We'll have regular monthly meetings where we can share our work, encourage, inspire and support each other. Members are encouraged to volunteer to give talks and classes on their creative "specialties." We might go to crafts shows, art exhibits and open studios ... whatever supports the muse!

We're looking for women who are committed creative artists, interested in regular meetings, serious about the idea of cross-pollination and expanding their creative horizons. This is not a commercial venture, so please don't join if you're mainly looking for clients or customers.

When you apply to join, I'll send you the new "guidelines for members." If you agree to the guidelines, you'll be approved.
