I'm new to the group but I wanted to share an event happening. Meet Russ Wallace, author of Zenobia - Birth of a Legend on April 28th 2012, from 11am – 2pm. Located at The Book Rack, 1752 S Signal Butte Rd #108, Mesa, Arizona. Free Admission.

Zenobia, a desert girl in ancient Syria, discovered that, living in an unfair world, she had to battle for justice. Brilliant and beautiful, Zenobia carried the greatest female military mind in history. Inspiring to people of all ages, Zenobia used the skills of a warrior, a scholar, and a queen to fight against injustice. The series spans her life from her birth to her wars against the strongest empire on earth - Rome.

Zenobia- Birth of a Legend traces Zenobia’s life from age nine to fifteen, setting the stage for her amazing rise to power. It includes the beginnings of her legend and her budding romances. Zenobia learns that she will have to be both a warrior and a diplomat in her pursuit of justice. She was a true historical figure and one of the most fascinating women who ever lived.

Zenobia – Birth of a Legend by Russ Wallace is book one of the series. If the group is interested in ever reading and discussing this book, I could set up a special book club visit from the author that you could ask your questions directly.
