Intro to the Biscuit Joiner + Build a Shadow Box Display

In this class, you will learn the basics of using a biscuit/plate joiner--one of the most efficient, flexible, and easy-to-use tools for making cabinets, drawers, and boxes. Then you will put what you've learned to use by building a small shadow box display with mitered and butt biscuit joints.

What we will cover:

- Presentation and discussion on biscuit joiner applications, techniques and safety. 30min

- Hands-on demo. Each person will have the chance to get familiar with the biscuit joiner by building a small shadow box display. All the pieces will be pre-cut, as we will be focussing on how to make miter and butt joints with the biscuit joiner. You will also learn some glue-up basics while assembling your project. 1.5hrs

Fee is $70, plus $25 materials fee. Safety equipment provided. Class size is limited to 4 people. 2 SPOTS LEFT.

Please reserve your spot for this class by registering and paying at the Makeville Studio online store or with Paypal through Meetup.

Didn't know even what a biscuit joiner was. Walked out knowing how to use it confidently along with a shadow box I made. Couldn't have happened without Robyn's teachings and her easy way. Thanks Robyn.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
