Announcing a new Meetup for Makeville Studio Woodworking/Craft/DIY Meetup!

What: Making Stair Balusters on the Lathe - Free demo!

When: June 1,[masked]:00 PM

Where: Makeville Studio, 119 8th St, Unit #208, Brooklyn NY 11215

Meetup Description: Join us for a fun and informative lathe demo--how to turn custom stair balusters!
Our resident wood turning expert, Ben Cabot, will demonstrate the basics of spindle-style turning on the lathe using stair balusters as an example.

If you've ever had to find replacements for missing wooden balusters on a staircase, you know it can be difficult--and expensive--to find a match. We have a better solution: do it yourself. With a little training on the lathe, you can save a lot of time and money.

Need a few balusters? This meetup's for you!

Don't care about balusters? Come by anyway to see the lathe in action, check out the studio, and meet other members of our group.
