Summer Day Out at the Park

June 19th Update:

We currently have 40+ people signed up for the picnic - GWH will be providing the hamburgers, hotdogs, veggie burgers, drinks (water & seltzer), paper goods, and condiments.  We also have people signed up to brings desserts (3), pasta/potato salads (2), fruit salad (1), and couscous lentil salad (1).

If you are able, please bring a dish to share - at this point in the game, bring something you like to make or whatever is easiest for you.  It would help if you would contact us by email ([masked]) and let us know what you plan to bring.

There will be some kids there so if we have a GAME ORGANIZER in the group aching to use their skills, please let us know!  Thanks - we'll see you Sunday.

Anybody with questions can email them to the address above.

Every year, the Greater Worcester Humanists get together to get some sun and have a cookout!  We have burgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers for the morally superior, and lots of side dishes and wonderful desserts from the membership's fine chefs.

Then, once we are all plump and satisfied, there's more time to get some sun and play outside. We have lively sessions of volleyball, frisbee, cricket, and whatever else we an find enough people to play. or, you can just sit back, soak it all in, and chat with friends.

This year's outing is back at Green Hill Park in Worcester! We are tentatively scheduling it on Sunday, June 23rd from 11AM to 3PM.  We would love for you to bring your whole family as this is also our most kid-friendly event, so bring them along!

So, we hope to see you all there - this event is free and open to members and non-members alike. This is also a great introductory event so feel free to invite that guy in the office who always asks about Humanism, or that friend who's been talking about wanting to hit a meeting.

Please help make the event great by volunteering.  As the event approaches we will be sending requests for dishes.  If you can't make the meeting and want to contribute, please feel free to contact us at [masked].

We hope to see you and your family there!!

So I have a new ice cream maker that I have had some pretty good success with making vegan ice cream. I would like to make some for the cookout and am open to suggestions so let me know what your favorite flavors are! Or perhaps even better, a flavor you would really like to try but doesn't normally exist in ice cream form. Please keep it vegan though, if you want bacon ice cream you can go to Denny's or Burger King. :)

No, sorry to say we live 2 hours drive away now so cannot attend the picnic or meetings now. Please take us off your mailing list for events. Thanks very much.
    Regards to all,

Hello all of our humanist friends. We have moved to Sandwich MA so are sorry to say that we will not be attending the meetings in the UU church any longer. I wish you all the best for the upcoming year. It has been good to know you all.

Do you need any paper things, like cups or plates? We have tons from other parties. I've never been there, are there picnic tables or should we bring lawn chairs?
