Science Café Woo: Ecology, Evolution, and the Misunderstood: Sustainability

This is not a GWH event. Please note this is starting at 6:30, 1/2 hour later than previous Science Cafés.

"Like every other organism, we humans exploit our environment. The good news is that we know it, and we can consider the consequences of our exploitation. The bad news is that we invent concepts (and “warm and fuzzy” words to name them) that lull us into thinking that we can somehow avoid these consequences. The word that rhymes with “Dustainable” is one such word: Sus·tain·a·ble!

Come listen to and speak with Dr. John Baker, Associate Research Professor in Biology at Clark University."

Learned a lot - always a good thing. Not 5 stars because speaker presented problems but no solutions.
