Science Café Woo: Synthetic Bones: Bringing together biology and engineering

This is not a GWH event.

Synthetic Bones: Bringing together biology and engineering to develop a better bone graft with Artem Kutikov

Artem will talk about how a combination of polymer science, engineering, and cell biology is being used to develop new materials for bone repair and regeneration. In his lab, Artem is trying to create synthetic “scaffolds” that assist the formation of new bone and degrade once their job is completed. Come learn about tissue engineering and how technologies such as 3-D printing and shape-memory polymers are changing the face of orthopedics.

6:30pm at Nu Cafe, Monday May 19th. Don't forget Double Woo Points at Nu Cafe on Science Cafe Woo nights!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
