Re: [wordpress-atl] We have a Date and Place for WordCamp 2012!WAHOO!!!
Sorry I can’t help out. There is also the small matter of Gabe going off to college in a few weeks so I will be out of town for that as well.
Su and I really really want to volunteer for something we want to be the Swat, oh I mean Swag Team.
I may be able to help the newbies if you have one of those preemie days. As it shapes up just let me know.
BTW I will be on vacation Sept 21-Oct 3.
Russell Fair and I are delighted to let you know that we have a confirmed date and place for our next WordCamp ATL!
SCAD has generously donated their space for January 28 and 29 2012.
Now the planning process begins as soon as we get back from WordCamp SF!
Anyone who would like to be involved in being a Committee Chair and playing a big role in the planning process please e-mail me. Let me know what you are great at.Later we will look for others to help on those committees.
We are looking for the right people to take on leadership roles on the various committees (which are to be decided) but are things like: Sponsorships, Logistics, Presentations, After-Party Coordinator, Head of Swag Bags, Volunteer Coordinator, Signs and various other jobs.
This group is the oldest and largest Atlanta WordPress Meetup.
It is usually held 6:00pm, on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at Polygon (http://polygonatl.com/) at near downtown, Atlanta.
We have one or two presentations depending on the degree of complexity of the topic. The presentations are designed for beginners and/or intermediates to learn to build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites.
We will also cover plugins as well as how to address business uses such as e-commerce, membership sites and supporting multiple languages. Bring your questions about your WordPress project.
We include time for refreshments, networking and trouble shooting.
