November Meetup: WordPress Harvest

Happy fall everybody!
Ya know, it's just about time for another FREE WordPress meetup at Automattic headquarters in SF. So grab your booties and head down on November 4th at 6pm-8pm to talk shop with your local WordPress peeps. In this meetup we will explore WordPress' community touch points and hot spots with a kickoff presentation by Ross Chapman of www.FolksPants.com who will offer a personal short list of fave "places" to seek answers, talk to experts, discover tips & tricks, find the best plugins and themes, etc... Otherwise the evening is basically open mike for ad hoc discussions, presentations, breakouts, and getting to know your local community.
Hope to see everyone there. Extra credit for wearing fall colors! Oh, most likely there will be pizza and beer as usual. (More details on vittles to come.)

And not to spam you all or get you too hyped up, but Robert Ficcaglia has also volunteered to walk us all through some WordPress-specific video stuff he's been working on/implementing.
Looks like this meetup is going to be a great one!

Loved the "meet-up" and the presentations!
I was particularly impressed with what folks are doing with WordPress and I'll definitely show up for more "meet-ups."

"Hi, I'm Bradley, I do WP development." Or "Hi, I'm Joe, I'm new to WP and have a blog at wp.com." Just to get a feel for who's in the room. Looking forward to the next one!

Michael ChongIt was a very cozy and intimate setting. People were open to sharing and felt welcoming. I got to meet some well-known individuals in the Wordpress community. Who would have thought that you'd meet the person who developed your favorite/critical plugin! :-)
