The next Beijing WordPress Meetup is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, December 4th at The Local Bar & Grill.
This month we are pleased to welcome our guest speaker Vivian Li, who will be sharing advice on how to maintain and curate your website content without hiring a designer or developer.
Also this month, are resident WordPress expert Piet Bos will give you a preview of what to expect from the next big WordPress release (3.8).
And finally Alex Dodkin will give a 10 minute introduction on how you can contribute to WordPress by becoming a WordPress translator.
After the speakers we will welcome any questions, and as usual there will be time to network and meet everyone!
Vivian on Maintaining Your WordPress Content
As your website’s content grows in quantity and scope, it can be a challenge figuring out the best way to organize and present it.Many website owners don’t have the time to devote to learning code and Web development applications. Vivian will share with you some advice on how to maintain&curate your website content without hiring a designer or developer.
Piet on WordCamp 3.8
With the new development cycles of WordPress, version 3.8 is around the corner already. Piet will give you a preview of what to expect on both front end and back end. He will also briefly touch on the things developers already can do now to make sure their hard work still looks good on the new version.
Alex on becoming a WordPress Translator
If you speak more than one language then an ideal method of giving back to the WordPress community, may be to help translate WordPress into your language. Alex will give you an insight on how this done and how you can be involved.
