The NYC Wordpress Meetup turns a quarter of a year old this month and has been progressing nicely already with some newcomers joining in each month in addition to having developed regulars already.

This month we'll be mixing things up a bit. The first hour will be spent answering questions and working on individual issues people are having with their blogs. More experienced members can feel free to skip the first hour or come and help out! The rest of the time will be devoted to talking about WP issues in general, sharing ideas, and just socializing. Inspired by a question on our forums, we'll hopefully be discussing image management solutions for Wordpress. In addition, I'll be delving into my bag of tricks to bring up awareness of select fringe topics of importance to all.

As always, all takers are invited to join us, from tech gurus to complete beginners. Even if you're just thinking about getting started with Wordpress or blogging in general we'll be happy to have you. Bloggers on other platforms are welcome as well if they're having trouble getting to other NYC blogging groups.

Starbucks again this month, second floor corner of 39th and 8th.

Please RSVP at least tentatively to the best of your knowledge... you can always change it later.

Great time with some regulars, some new faces, and visitors from Philly and even SF. Good turn-out that made for good discussion with nice people. It was really nice to meet the first timers and I really hope to see them again. My only regret was not having more time to get to talk to everyone as much as I would have liked to... but that says a lot about the quality of the people there. Thanks to all that could make it and I look forward to seeing the locals again soon!
