July's meeting on the 9th is a nod to the 4th of July holiday - as we are meeting on the second rather than the first Tuesday of the month this time around.
Our gathering features a special guest , local author Sue Merrell, who has published three books - one non-fiction (a memoir) and two mystery-thrillers using a variety of publishing strategies. She also has a background in newspaper editing and writing.
Come with questions on approaches to book-writing, plot lines, character development, etc. and the often murky waters of self-publishing.
We will have our normal time for introductions, sharing about writing projects, and updating the writing conference and retreat landscape. Let's see if any of us made progress after our hands-on session last time covering queries and submissions to various publications.
The Spring Lake-Muskegon-Grand Haven small group will be providing refreshments.
I also want to remind you of our $2 per person donation to cover the cost of our large group meeting facility.
I look foward to seeing you all!
