Annual Word Weavers Family Picnic

Hey, all: We are excited to tell you about the upcoming family picnic we're planning! Word Weavers will provide the hot dogs and buns, the condiments, and the soft drinks. You'll provide a dish to pass along with your own table settings. Feel free to bring your spouse or significant other as well as those other immediate family members that support you on your writing journey. The park we've chosen offers some great play areas, picturesque views, and trails for walking. It will be a wonderful opportunity for us to see you outside of your writing mode and among those who know you most and love you best.

A little bit of rain or heat will not deter us. We'll only cancel for a storm, and we'll do it right here on Meetup. To assure that we have enough provisions, it's very important that you provide a firm number of guests when you RSVP. We can't wait to spend this relaxed and laid-back time with you.

Our president Anna Moore Bradfield made some opening remarks and led in a prayer. Thanks for praying away the rain!

Who (Terry?) did a devotion for the event?

The park was a huge hit with my whole family. Joshua has talked many times about the ducks. The photography session was very nice too. If I could change anything it would be a game with the tiles, as Dan said, or some other way to get us talking to more than just our individual WW group people. Overall, we had a great time.

The centerpieces for the tables at our Word Weaver's picnic were Scrabble tiles in jars. What a good idea! Not only did they hold the table cloths in place, lots of conversations were started that might not have taken place otherwise. We were blessed with a professional photographer who took our pictures and gave us special treatment. If you weren't there you should have been! Great food with...guess what...our very own hot dog chef! Glorious weather, beautiful location, even an education on ducks (from an unlikely source!) Overall, very nice time with fellow authors and their families. Lord bless your home. Kittye Sharron

Yes, please thank your daughter, Denise, as Anna stated. And nice to chat with you too, Denise, and several others! Thanks to the leadership of WW for making it happen.

The photo opt was nice. Might have done a group game with the word tiles on the tables.

I've been inviting her for a while, but she is a very, very early riser. This is event is a little earlier...so she is going to check us out.
