I am interested in developing writing outlets and skills.

What Terry D. is saying about this Meetup Group

Our 5-17-16 meeting had eight writers and four critiques. We shared a lot of info about upcoming writer conferences - including Word Weavers boot camp Aug. 12-13. and W.W. members get 50% off registration fees for Speak Up Conference (July 7-9) and Maranatha Christian writers conf. (Sept. 29 - Oct. 1). Critiques: Doug M. shared his surprising conclusion to his short story "The Inheritence," We read part of the first chapter of Avonlea's historical novel, Anne shared the painfully true story of a home mishap, and we read a devotional piece by Darlene on "cleansing" anger... Quite a variety, as usual. Remember Teresa Lasher's book signing at Rockford City Hall on Sat. June 4 (10 a.m. - 1 p.m.), and our Word Weavers chapter-wide picnic on July 19 (details forthcoming). Our next small group meeting is June 7.. See you then!
