I began writing poems in elementary school and was one of those rare students who actually loved to write research papers in high school. But when I consider my grown-up life, the time spent thinking about writing, unfortunately, far outweighs actual writing time.
I like to write non-rhyming poetry, personal reflections or essays, devotionals, and I hope to venture into the world of short fiction and children's lit, as well.
Church newsletters, Women's Lifestyle Magazine, and my blog, which began as a contemplation of the verses in the Bible that use the phrase "Fear not."
Yes, Calvin's Festival of Faith and Writing and the Breathe Conference
I would like to look back and see a record of faithful, obedient responses to God's direction in writing that resulted in the advancement of His kingdom and encouragement and inspiration for others.
A former English teacher, I now tutor ESL students and enjoy listening to 2nd graders read. I also give piano lessons to students of all ages and love to accompany instrumentalists, praise teams, and for weddings and other special occasions.
Lots of great advice and encouragement from everyone. What a privilege to be part of this community of supportive writers!
