As a child I pretended to read books before I was old enough to read, making up my own stories. Now I write about my life experiences
Children's short stories, poems, Christian songs, articles that show a relationship between songs and my own life.
"The Markers", in the Sesquecentennial History of Holy Trinity Church, Comstock Park, Michigan, a true story about the church's cemetary before and after the tornado of 1965. Jan 2011 "Bushel Baskets", RCA House of Hope Everywhere.
I attended the Breathe Writers Conference in October 2010.
I need to have published a book of children's stories, the ones I tell our grandchildren.
Thanks to the encouragement I've received from this Writer's Group I've submitted stories and articles for publication. On January 15th I played my guitar and sang ballads at a local coffee house, feeling I was in my element, a place I have missed.
Joining West Michigan Fellowship of Christian Writers is the best thing I've done for my writing aspirations in years. Thanks to a notation on Kathy Bruin's Facebook page, I found you.
