How long have you been writing, or thinking about writing?

I have been writing seriously and consistently for about four years. I've always had the "bug" to write as long as I could hold a pencil or pen and paper.

What genre do you like to write?

Mostly non-fiction, essay-type material and some poetry.

Have you been published? If so, where and in what type of publication (books, magazine, online, blog, etc)

Yes, in various magazines and newsletters. For instance, "Rider," "Sailing," "Thunder Roads of Michigan," "The War Cry," and "Women's Life Style" magazines.

Have you ever attended a writers' conference?

Yes. I just returned from Cedar Falls Christian Writers Conference in Cedar Falls, Iowa. I have attended Maranatha Writers Conference in Muskegon, Michigan for the last two Septembers. They are excellent ways to learn more of the craft.

In 3 years, what would you like to look back, and see from your writing efforts?

My goal would be consistency and honesty in my writing reflecting my unique inner voice and talents my Creator gave me. My desire is to provide hope along this pilgrim journey and God be gloried in the process.

I am eager to learn more about the craft of writing and meet new serious writers who share my passion. Accountability is a key factor in keeping on this sometimes lonely path. I've been published in various magazines & books.
