Working Democracy is a new system of economy and government that will extend democracy into our everyday lives, beginning at where we work.

Neither capitalism nor state control of the economy can guarantee our security and freedom or protect the environment. The third choice -- the only real choice -- is for the workers to decide together what to produce and how to produce it.

We will achieve the American Dream of 1776 once "we the people" own the product of our own labor. We will distribute the product of our joint efforts among ourselves for our own use, well-being and enjoyment.

This is the new system of Working Democracy -- Economic self-government of, by and for the workers.
